So today we spent a good deal of time photographing out a Mayfield Gardens. It was a beautiful day here in Austin...despite the rain! The light was gorgeous even at one pm. So, since I promised a costume per day and I missed yesterday, here are two versions of the same costume one with wings...

Okay, so yes I'm a slacker. I didn't get ANY of the Fairytales and fireflies photos done today. I am terrible. I met with a wedding client, sorted and edited photos from another wedding and made a tutu...the fruits of my labor will be evident tomorrow.

So in the meantime, here are some photos of me at work. People there is a reason I am behind the camera and NOT in front of it. Tell me this, do I always look this ridiculous when I am taking photos? Talk about really getting into your job.

Fairytales & Fireflies

Well, I'm working on a new line of Children's Photography. I'm calling it Fairytales and Fireflies. I have been collecting costumes, tutu's parasols, antique luggage and furniture. This is for Boys & Girls. I want to pair the unexpected with the whimsy of childhood in outdoor locations. Photos will be very avant garde, with vignettes and textures, vintage tones and the like. I had a great time at this session! We went down near the Congress Bridge at Lady Bird Lake Behind the Four Seasons Hotel. It was a hot one but these guys were troopers! I LOVE theirs dogs. Little Bella is my favorite!

This couple is just the sweetest thing I have ever come across. Their ceremony was so touching! I especially loved it when the groom gave the bride's daughter a silver heart pendant as a symbol of his commitment to her as well!!!! Beautiful!!! Congratulations you guys!!!
